You will provide Spectrum's leaders with clear, high-quality data to identify and address opportunities and challenges, while offering expertise in data interpretation to various departments across the organization.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Clearly communicate data insights across all company levels
- Promote best practices and assist users in utilizing business intelligence for precise reporting
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements, including data mapping and validation rules
- Develop report mockups and coordinate with technical teams to finalize designs
- Deeply understand data elements in the warehouse to support diverse user needs from queries to large projects
- Interact with senior management or executive-level customers, providing support as needed
- Document, present and recommend solutions for data anomalies
- Maintain metadata dictionaries and report definitions
- Work with cross-functional teams for alignment on business needs and timelines
- Create and execute test plans and scenarios to ensure quality and requirements traceability

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or business-related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience:
- 4+ years of experience performing business analysis across a variety of industries, business functions and technologies
- 2+ years of data analytics, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Skills:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience and passion for leveraging data to drive business impact
- Advanced SQL skills
- Ability to speak to large groups with excellent presentation skills
- Ability to perform critical thinking in data analysis with advanced analytical skills, understand complex business processes, rules and gain business acumen to become subject matter expert
- Demonstrated team and relationship building skills
- Intermediate to advanced statistical knowledge
- High attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance, prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects/assignments through project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience:
- Experience with reporting/business intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Redshift)
- Experience with cable TV, Internet, and/or phone products and services or other related industry
- Skills
- Experience with Redshift and/or other MPP data warehouse platforms
- Experience working with telecom/cable MSO data and applications
- Experience working with Tableau or MicroStrategy and business intelligence data modeling concepts such as Star/Snowflake Schema, Dimensions and Facts
