Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Bar Manager oversees the daily operations of all bars of the Hotel. This position is responsible for monitoring, ordering and controlling beer and liquor costs for all restaurants of the Hotel. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining financial profitability and a high service level for the guests. This role reports to the Restaurant General Manager.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for general operation of the bar on a day-to-day basis
• Continually trains and supervises staff in accordance with established standards
• Oversees the general upkeep and cleanliness of bar areas
• Enforces standards, procedures and policies in accordance with established standards
• Responsible for all administrative duties associated with the bars. This includes but is not limited payroll, scheduling inventory and menu updates
• Assists with supervisory responsibility including but not limited to: progressive discipline, performance evaluation and termination
• Standardize and document all cocktail recipes, and ensure product consistency. Research products such as mixers, bar snacks, glassware and more to remain competitive and provide a superior experience for our guests
• Remain informed on current trends and make recommendations for changes and direction of department to Director of F&B based on industry trends
• Maintain high level of guest satisfaction, makes immediate corrective action when guests’ needs are not met
• Is familiar with facility fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by superiors.
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by General Manager and assists other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.
• Enforce and comply with all policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage Department, The Little Nell and the Aspen One
• Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
• College preferred or hotel/restaurant training
• 3 years of experience in fine dining establishment
• 2 years management experience preferred
• 3 years Food & Beverage experience preferred
• Minimum entry level sommelier certification and 1 year in wine sales preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Proficient wine knowledge
• Knowledge of food and cooking methods
• Proficient knowledge in company policies and procedures
• Detailed knowledge of internal processes, workflows, and decision-making protocols
• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation, and presentation
• Proficient knowledge of industry regulations and how they affect business operations
• Skill in assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
• Ability to work effectively with different departments to achieve business objectives
• Skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to delegate tasks effectively, empowering teams while maintaining accountability
• Ability to handle interpersonal and team conflicts in a constructive manner
• Ability to handle difficult customer interactions and ensure high levels of satisfaction
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
