As a New Business Development Manager, you will support the growth of BARBRI's institutional business by identifying new opportunities, initiating relationships with law schools and higher education institutions, and driving the adoption of BARBRI's learning solutions. You will manage a portfolio of prospective and existing accounts, working closely with senior sales leaders, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to support revenue growth and customer retention.
The ideal candidate brings experience selling education, technology, SaaS, or professional services solutions within higher education or related markets. You are relationship-oriented, organized, and motivated to develop consultative sales skills while working in a collaborative environment.
Success in this role is measured through new business generation, account growth, customer retention, and contribution toward institutional revenue goals.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. This role does not offer visa sponsorship, and temporary work authorization is not eligible.
Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (plus commission)

· Support execution of institutional account strategies to drive revenue growth and customer retention
· Work closely with the other members of the B2B Business Development team to identify and prospect new greenfield business and upsell opportunities
· Work closely with marketing team members to conduct upsell selling opportunities
· Conduct regular, targeted sales and education campaigns with existing clients to increase business
· Engage with new greenfield clients to establish new business
· Build relationships with key buyers and influencers at law schools and higher education institutions
· Conduct discovery meetings and presentations to understand customer needs and position BARBRI solutions effectively
· Partner with subject matter experts and internal teams to develop proposals and solution recommendations
· Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, maintaining accurate pipeline data and forecasting information in CRM systems
· Assist with contract discussions, renewals, and implementation planning for institutional clients
· Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities to achieve individual revenue targets
· Represent BARBRI at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings
· Collaborate cross-functionally with customer success, marketing, operations, and product teams to support client outcomes
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:· Bachelor's degree and experience with legal education
· 3-5 years of business development, account management, sales, or partnership experience
· Experience selling into higher education, education technology, SaaS, professional services, or a related industry
· Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders throughout a sales process
· Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities simultaneously
· Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline activity and forecasting
· Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
· Willingness to travel up to 50%

· Experience selling subscription, technology, or learning solutions
· Familiarity with consultative or solution-based sales methodologies
· Experience presenting to academic leaders and institutional decision-makers
· Knowledge of the higher education marketplace and purchasing processes
