Role Summary

Avahi is seeking an accomplished AWS Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS solutions. This role is critical in driving successful migration, modernization, and DevOps initiatives. As the primary technical leader, you’ll guide customer consultations, create innovative proofs of concept (POCs), and shape our technical strategies. Key Responsibilities 

  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary technical leader in customer calls, leading technical discussions and presenting solutions.
  • Presales Engineering: Support DevOps, migration, and modernization projects by delivering high-quality technical strategies.
  • MAP Assessments: Conduct Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) assessments and lead workshops to evaluate cloud migration readiness.
  • Project Scoping: Create detailed level-of-effort estimates and scope-of-work documents to support project planning and proposals.
  • Technical Escalation: Serve as a hands-on escalation point for complex technical issues during project execution.
  • Mentorship: Guide team members on AWS solutions, migration strategies, and best practices, fostering skill development.
  • Migration Leadership: Leverage deep cloud migration experience to ensure seamless transitions to AWS from on-premises environments.
  • Solution Design: Design and implement innovative solutions, remaining hands-on throughout project lifecycles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on AWS offerings, DevOps tools, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certifications: AWS Professional and specialty certifications are highly desirable.
  • AWS Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, and ECS.
  • Proven Success: Track record of leading successful AWS migration and modernization projects.
  • DevOps Proficiency: Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, CircleCI).
  • Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Data, Machine Learning, or AI technologies.
  • Passion for contributing to open-source tools and communities.
  • Knowledge of advanced AWS services or emerging technologies.
