About the role

The AVP, HR Generalist owns the operational backbone of Tidal’s people infrastructure. This role is responsible for payroll, benefits, administrative and facilities operations — ensuring reliability, precision, and scalability as the firm grows rapidly.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring strong process discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to operate calmly in a high-growth environment.

The role reports to the SVP, Human Resources and partners closely with the VP HR Business Partner.

What you'll do

Payroll & Benefits Operations

  • Own end-to-end payroll and benefits execution
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of issues
  • Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and escalation paths
  • Partner with Finance and Legal on compliance matters

Administrative & Facilities Leadership

  • Lead the administrative team and Facilities Manager
  • Redesign admin scope to align with business priorities
  • Oversee office operations, expansions, and build-outs
  • Ensure facilities and admin functions scale with growth

HR Operations & Infrastructure

  • Build and maintain repeatable HR operational processes
  • Ensure systems (including Rippling) function reliably
  • Reduce operational noise and executive involvement

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop admin and HR operations staff
  • Ensure workloads are balanced and roles are clearly scoped
  • Drive accountability, precision, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of HR experience with payroll and benefits ownership
  • Experience managing HR operations, admins, or facilities
  • Strong execution skills and process orientation
  • Calm, reliable operator in a high-growth environment
