The Practice Management Business Lead is responsible for developing and managing programs, services, and support that help advisors and firms successfully build, grow, and transition their businesses within Northwestern Mutual. This role focuses on defining needs, shaping solutions, and driving collaboration across the field and home office to deliver meaningful practice management support to growing practices and teams across the system. In doing so, it requires creative thinking, a continuous improvement mindset and strong relationship-building skills to successfully execute practice management priorities and evolve organizational capabilities.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of practice management priorities that support advisors and their teams.
- Translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions and drive work forward through collaboration, sound judgment and strong execution.
- Consult with field leaders, career advisors, ensemble practices, and their teams to identify opportunities that improve business performance and advisor/firm outcomes.
- Help mature and support practice management priorities and ongoing programs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought partner on practice management trends, business needs, and field-facing solutions.
- Partner across the enterprise to align strategy, influence direction, and build support for practice management initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or related field or an equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum ten years of progressive experience in financial services, business consulting, practice management working in a management or consulting capacity
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and to solve complex business problems in a dynamic environment.
- Deep understanding of advisor business models, the distribution system and the factors that drive growth, operational efficiencies, profitability and continuity.
- Proven ability to lead through influence, build credibility quickly and establish strong relationships across field and home office audiences
- Strong strategic thinking, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex business needs into clear direction and actionable solutions.
