Job Summary
The Associate VP, Consumer Sales Strategy is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive distribution strategies that align with Humana’s growth objectives and long-term sustainability goals. The role provides data-based direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities, including strong measurement plans and innovative ideas that improve the agent and member experience.
The Associate VP, Consumer Sales Strategy will play a pivotal role in leading both external and internal partnerships. They will be responsible for managing key external relationships from sales partnerships to technology vendors in order to drive growth and optimization. In addition, the person will lead several internal partnerships to ensure a cohesive customer journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Design and implement distribution strategies that align with Humana’s Medicare Advantage growth objectives and long-term sustainability goals.
  • Internal Partnerships: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Service, Stars, Centerwell and Operations to ensure seamless execution of distribution strategy initiatives.
  • External Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with external partners such as large sales organizations, technology vendors and others to both create efficiencies and deliver outsized growth. 
  • Service and Experience: Champion initiatives to enhance the member, prospect and agent experience, leveraging feedback and analytics to improve customer satisfaction and retention throughout the distribution process.
  • Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress, and report on distribution strategy outcomes, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Innovation: Identify and implement innovative approaches and technologies to optimize distribution efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will have a proven track record with driving growth and change.
  • 8 or more years of progressive leadership experience and driving results in a complex organization.
  • Excellent organization, customer service, relationship management, self-motivation, planning, interpersonal, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to cultivating business relationships (internally/externally) while leading and inspiring a team to achieve agreed-upon results.
  • Ability to execute work to goals and end dates, demonstrating a sense of urgency around problems.
  • Track record to develop strategy, set and meet established targets and effectively manage programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, recruit and retain top talent across all teams.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it to a wide variety of audiences including internal and external business partners.
  • Experience supporting alternate distribution channels, influencing direction to support nontraditional growth.
  • Experience working with and supporting senior leadership to achieve strategic goals across the segment or enterprise wide.
  • Executive level presence (written and verbal), strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$184,800 - $254,100 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
