Associate Sonographer - PRN- Aurora

This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Associate Sonographer position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.Position Details:

This is a PRN position @ Mercy Aurora

Days Vary; Hours: 6:30a-7p

Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR registered sonographer.

License: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Experience: None required  

Certifications/Registrations: Obtained ARDMS or ARRT or CCI registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
 

In the state of Arkansas, ARDMS-RVT OR CCI-RVS OR ARRT-VS may be required within 12 months of hire and/or transfer depending on scope of role.

• Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
• Knowledge of safe & proper machine operation.
• Knowledge of machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

•    Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

•    Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

•    Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
