The Apprenticeship Experience

As a Workback Apprentice, you'll join a 6-month experience shaped around four dimensions designed to enable your success: On the Job Experience, Mentorship, Community, and Hybrid Environment.

 

On the Job Experience

The core of your Workback apprenticeship will be the on the job experience working full-    time with the Software Engineering team at The Trade Desk. You’ll start by tackling development tickets and finish with a capstone project that you’ll present to the team.

 

Mentorship 

You’ll work directly with a mentor at The Trade Desk who will serve as your week-to-week leader, coach, and manager throughout the apprenticeship. You’ll also check-in monthly with a Workback career success manager.

 

Community

You’re not going through this alone. You’ll be part of a community of peers including current apprentices and alumni. Your cohort is there to help with technical jams and keep you motivated - make connections that will grow with you throughout your career. You’ll also have the chance to network internally at The Trade Desk with UX, Product, and Business teams.

 

In Person Experience

The Spring ‘25 Trade Desk Apprenticeship cohort is an in-person experience in The Trade Desk’s office in Denver or Boulder, CO.  There is no relocation reimbursement. You must also be authorized to work in the USA to be eligible.

 

Paid Role Equivalent to $125k - $135k Annually

The entire experience, from applying to apprenticeship is free for Apprentices. During the  six-month Apprenticeship, you’ll be paid at a rate equivalent to $125,000 to $135,000 annually, and at the end of the Apprenticeship, your host company has the option to make you a full-time offer. To date, 100% of Workback apprentices have received full-time offers to continue.

The Application phase will be competitive and consist of four main steps:

  1. Create Your Workback Apprentice Profile

  2. Take Your Coding Assessment

  3. Interview with Workback

  4. Finalist Interview with The Trade Desk
