About this role

Job Purpose/Background:

We are looking for an Associate to support the Private Market Solutions Product Strategy team.  The candidate will support our fundraising efforts by driving the realization of marketing materials for clients across countries. They will partner with cross-functional teams including Client Services, Accounting, Core PM, and Tech teams to deliver excellent client servicing.  They will also support product development workstreams, to create and optimize product strategies that meet the evolving needs of our clients and the private market industry. The candidate you will play a key role in developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive the growth and innovation of our private market offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Intelligence: Conduct in-depth research on private market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to guide product innovation and differentiation.  Stay abreast of trends and regulations in the private market space, providing thought leadership to internal teams and clients.

  • Strategic Planning: Support the business planning for private market solutions across client channels and countries, focusing on market analysis, alignment with client needs and business goals.

  • Marketing: Develop a suite of client collateral and partner with Compliance to meet regulatory requirements across countries

  • Fundraising: Coordinate engagements with sales channels to promote our strategies, gather feedback, and maintain commercial pipeline

  • Client servicing: Coordinate timely responses to client requests with BlackRock teams around performance reporting, liquidity management, and technology.

  • Product Development: Support workstreams related to implementation of new LP mandates, commingled vehicles, or models.

Knowledge /experience / competencies:

  • The candidate should be a self-starter, resourceful and collaborative, with ability to build strong relationship with others

  • Unquestioned integrity and work ethics; sense of urgency and ability to communicate upcoming deliverables and objectives

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Advanced PowerPoint and business writing skills; ability to quickly produce client-level presentations utilizing data and synthesizing key information

  • A strong understanding of the BlackRock’s business and the industry; Student of the private markets

  • For internal candidates, understanding how to navigate BlackRock, the Client Business, and other private market teams.

  • 3+ years of experience in a directly relevant field (financial services, management consulting or similar); preferably 2+ years of experience within BlackRock

  • Working proficiency in English and Spanish
