Job Description

Role- Salesforce Enterprise Architect

Location – USA (100% remote)

Duration – 6 Months C2H

Experience Required – 10-15 Years

Must have skills: Good to have skills: CPQ, Field Service Lightning, Sales cloud, Service cloud, financial service cloud, consumer goods cloud

Job Overview:

  • The Salesforce Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and advancing the Salesforce architecture strategy across the organization.
  • This role serves as the highest technical authority for all Salesforce-related initiatives, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, performant, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
  • As the key liaison between business stakeholders, Salesforce delivery teams, and IT leadership, this role plays a critical part in driving digital transformation, enhancing customer experience, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture Strategy and Governance Lead the creation and maintenance of the enterprise-wide Salesforce architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop guiding principles, reference architectures, and blueprints that align Salesforce implementations with enterprise goals.
  • Define architecture standards and governance frameworks to ensure consistency, maintainability, and reusability across projects and teams.
  • Evaluate emerging Salesforce features, AppExchange solutions, and technologies—including Financial Services Cloud and Consumer Goods Cloud—for strategic fit.
  • Solution Design and Oversight Partner with business and IT stakeholders to design end-to-end Salesforce solutions that support business objectives.
  • Architect and review Salesforce implementations for multi-cloud (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, Marketing Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud) and cross-functional programs.
  • Design solutions that effectively balance customization with platform standardization and scalability.
  • Integration and Data Architecture Define and oversee Salesforce integration patterns with enterprise systems such as ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), HCM, data lakes, and custom applications.
  • Guide the design of APIs, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and ETL processes for secure and reliable data exchange.
  • Own data modeling, governance, and quality strategies within the Salesforce platform.
  • Security, Risk, and Compliance Architect secure solutions leveraging Salesforce Shield, Field Audit Trail, encryption, and event monitoring.
  • Design single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) integrations using SAML, OAuth, or ADFS.
  • Collaborate with security teams to conduct system risk assessments activities.
  • Platform Management and DevOps Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release governance for Salesforce deployments.
  • Champion DevOps tools such as Git, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, and metadata management practices.
  • Oversee Salesforce environment strategy, including sandbox management, refresh cadence, and data seeding.
  • Leadership and Collaboration Serve as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors, product owners, architects, developers, and system admins.
  • Lead and mentor teams of Salesforce developers, business analysts, and solution architects.
  • Facilitate architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decision records (ADRs).
  • Represent Salesforce architecture in enterprise architecture boards and digital transformation councils.
