A Day in the LifeWithin Medtronic’s Global Commercial Operations organization, the Associate Inside Sales Representative supports the Medical Surgical portfolio, partnering with healthcare providers across Alternate Site and Acute Care settings. This role works closely with field sales, clinical specialists, and commercial leadership to support customer growth, increase product adoption, and drive business results across an assigned territory and account base.
This is a remote position supporting customers throughout the United States. Up to 25% travel may be required for training, customer meetings, and business-related activities.

         

         

The Associate Inside Sales Representative supports revenue growth through virtual customer engagement, account development, territory planning, and sales pipeline management while building foundational healthcare sales experience.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Sell Medical Surgical portfolio products through phone, email, and virtual customer engagements to achieve sales objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinicians, supply chain stakeholders, and other customer contacts within assigned accounts.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, account outreach, and territory planning.
  • Communicate product features, clinical benefits, and value propositions to clinical and economic decision-makers.
  • Support customer education, product demonstrations, and implementation activities in partnership with field sales and clinical teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer, activity, and opportunity data within Salesforce.com and other business systems.
  • Analyze account and territory data to prioritize activities, identify growth opportunities, and support business planning.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Clinical Specialists, Regional Managers, and Directors to support territory objectives and customer success.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of sales, business development, customer-facing, or related professional experience OR Associate's Degree and 2+ years of sales, business development, customer-facing, or related professional experience OR Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or business-to-business sales experience.
  • Experience communicating with customers or selling products and solutions through phone, email, or virtual engagement platforms.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications for business communication and reporting.
  • Experience managing customer information, sales activities, or opportunity tracking within a CRM or related business system.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, SAP, Tableau, or similar business applications.
  • Knowledge of hospital, ambulatory surgery center, physician office, or Alternate Site healthcare environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Biological Sciences, or a related field.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$43,000.00 - $43,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
