Energy Department
In this newly created department, the Energy Department is dedicated to managing and optimizing the energy resources required to power our data centers while promoting sustainability and efficiency. The Energy department plays a critical role in ensuring our operations are environmentally responsible, cost-effective, and resilient to energy market fluctuations. The team focuses on energy procurement, renewable energy integration, and the implementation of advanced energy management practices.
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Associate Energy Market Development Manager, NA to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of power generation and onsite energy solutions projects. This role plays a pivotal part in driving innovation and execution across complex, multi-disciplinary projects involving engineering, construction, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of power systems, a collaborative mindset, and strong leadership in managing scope, schedule, and budget.
Essential Job Functions:
· Lead the end-to-end management of power generation projects, including developing detailed project schedules, scopes, budgets, and resource plans.
· Drive execution and progress through structured project updates, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communications.
· Manage and implement tools and systems that support the planning, reporting, and delivery of large-scale onsite energy solutions.
· Facilitate cross-functional project meetings involving engineering, construction, operations, and vendor teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
· Provide leadership and accountability for vendor performance, scope execution, and integration into broader project plans.
Duties:
· Initiate and lead regular project meetings focused on delivery of onsite power generation systems.
· Collaborate across internal departments (engineering, construction, development, and sales) and external partners to align project goals and resolve execution risks.
· Work closely with equipment and solution vendors, challenging them to meet high performance standards and drive innovation in power delivery.
· Produce and maintain project documentation including timelines, meeting minutes, action plans, and status reports for internal leadership.
· Track and manage project financials, ensuring alignment with business objectives and budget targets.
· Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of power delivery strategies and implementation practices.
· Additional duties as assigned by management
· 20–30% domestic travel for utility meetings, contract negotiations, site support, and industry engagement
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related discipline—or equivalent experience.
· 3–8 years of project management experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, or mission-critical environments (e.g., data centers).
· Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, energy delivery technologies, and construction coordination.
· Proven ability to manage vendors and contractors, with a focus on results and performance accountability.
· Highly effective in managing project documentation, meeting facilitation, budget oversight, and progress reporting.
· Proficiency with project management tools and techniques.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Willingness to travel up to 10% (subject to business needs)

Additional Details
Salary Range: $85,000 - 95,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Denver CO market data and may vary in other locations).
This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
