WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

Provides technical support of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Vice President, Due Diligence – Engineering for acquisition, disposition, and asset management services. Coordinates technical vendor activities and supports Portfolio Companies and Blackstone Real Estate Services to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. Key project delivery focus areas include growth in scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.

NOTE: The preferred location for this position is Revantage's office in Dallas, TX; however, we will consider candidates if they currently reside in one of the following metropolitan areas: Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Tulsa, OK, Memphis, TN, Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, or Atlanta, Georgia.

HOW YOU ADD VALUE

  • Aid in the review of reports written by others to ensure each meets company and client protocols and accurately describes the asset and quantifies risks

  • Interact regularly with technical team and participate in client meetings on project basis

  • Review technical direction and guidance to vendors assigned to projects to ensure conformance to scopes of work

  • Support large portfolios of projects, liaising with team members and tracking status

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports to the client and company

  • Growth mindset to develop skills to act as subject manager expert in the area of expertise, which may include Environmental Risk, ADA, MEP, seismic risk or other specialties

  • Self-perform due to diligence tasks for appropriate projects and asset management support

  • Review and technically edit review memoranda to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality

  • Ensure on-time delivery of reports and accompanying correspondence to clients

  • Communicate with clients and management to discuss and develop solutions to recognized architecture and engineering concerns during the due diligence evaluation period

  • Support Revantage and companywide sustainability initiatives at the interface with engineering due diligence processes

  • Deliver outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in architecture or engineering or construction management

  • Minimum (5) years commercial building evaluation or commercial design experience with a general understanding of all building systems: site work, structural, building envelope, and MEP.  Facilities management / asset management expertise will be considered

  • Knowledge of real estate financial terms and principles

  • Knowledge of environmental issues and property risks

  • Ability to calculate ongoing capital reserve needs for real estate ownership

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret construction and existing building documents

  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues

  • Ability to write clearly to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, management, and vendors

  • Ability to distill technical information to non-technical clients

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in a team setting

  • Requires high functioning analytical and quantitative skills with drive to learn and develop strategic solutions

  • Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have direct impact on the department

  • Working knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite Products)

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations

  • Ability to travel 20-25% domestically

Preferred:

  • Certification as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect

  • Prior experience in due diligence or project management with client management responsibilities

Base Compensation Range:

$88,165.00 To $115,000.00. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

Total Direct Compensation:  This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
