The Associate Director of Strategic Project Management is a highly strategic and dynamic role responsible for leading and executing high-impact Supply Chain initiatives that align with organizational priorities and objectives. Reporting directly to senior Supply Chain leadership, this individual will oversee cross-functional projects, drive innovation, and ensure successful execution of complex initiatives that are critical to achieving Supply Chain goals. The role requires a strategic mindset, an innovative mindset, project management skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of Supply Chain strategic projects that align with organizational goals and long-term strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations to guide decision-making and project prioritization.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of high-visibility Supply Chain projects, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are met.
  • Utilize Supply Chain and business data to develop detailed project plans, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g., operations, finance, engineering, legal, and compliance) to align initiatives with organizational priorities.
  • Foster relationships with external partners and vendors as needed to support project execution.
  •  Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and success of critical projects.
  • Prepare and deliver regular updates, reports, and presentations to Supply Chain leadership on project status, challenges, and achievements.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization within the Operations, Supply Chain and Quality organization.
  • Develop and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to improve project outcomes and organizational efficiency.
  • Drive organizational change efforts associated with strategic projects, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes, tools, or strategies.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure project objectives and updates are clearly communicated to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Travel – as required (up to 25%) 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, strategic planning, or a related role.
  • Experience leading, influencing, and collaborating across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., CORE, Lean Six Sigma, etc).
  • Experience communicating and presenting updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or technology industries is a plus
  • Experience presenting both technical and non-technical information through verbal and written communication.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and navigating changing circumstances.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
