General Description:
BeOne is actively seeking an experienced compliance professional at the Associate Director level to implement a global HCP engagement platform, serve as the global system owner for compliance technology platforms, and lead the global compliance data analytics program. This role will report to the Senior Director, Global Compliance Program Office and will play a critical role in enabling a scalable, risk-based, and data-driven global compliance program.
In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic ownership, governance, and ongoing evolution of the global HCP engagement platform, ensuring it supports compliant business operations across regions while meeting regulatory and internal compliance requirements. You will partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Global Technology Services, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, and regional stakeholders to translate business needs into system capabilities aligned with the overall compliance technology strategy.
In addition, a key component of this role is defining the strategy and advancing BeOne’s compliance data and analytics capabilities, bringing together datasets to develop globally consistent dashboards and insights that inform compliance risk management, monitoring, and decision-making.
This position will be in the United States, either remote or at BeOne’s offices in San Carlos, CA, Hopewell, NJ, or Cambridge, MA.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Implement a global Healthcare Professional (HCP) engagement management software platform to achieve strategic and operational goals for the organization.
- Partner with global cross-functional team members to gather, assess, and prioritize business and compliance requirements to support the system implementation and ensure alignment with the strategic objectives.
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies, proactively identifying and addressing challenges in a complex, matrixed global environment.
- Coordinate with responsible teams to enable system integrations to enable required functionality and alignment to strategic priorities.
- Develop and execute project management, change management, and communication plans to support global system implementations, enhancements, and process changes, ensuring effective adoption across regions.
- Serve as the global system owner for BeOne’s HCP engagement platform, providing strategic direction, governance, and oversight to ensure the platform supports compliant global engagement with healthcare professionals and organizations.
- Partner with Global Technology Services to oversee the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the HCP engagement platform, including user support, issue resolution, release management, and vendor coordination.
- Act as the Compliance system owner for compliance technology systems, ensuring operational compliance enablement through appropriate controls, workflows, user requirements, and system enhancements.
- Partner with regional Compliance business partners to continuously evolve the available systems, processes, and reporting to meet evolving compliance requirements and enabling them to act proactively.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and system documentation related to compliance technology platforms.
- Create training documentation and lead end-user training to support system adoption and successful implementation.
- Support internal audits, inspections, and assessments related to compliance systems and data.
- Advance BeOne’s compliance data analytics and dashboarding capabilities, working with Compliance and data partners to combine disparate datasets to generate meaningful compliance insights.
- Define data requirements, metrics, and reporting frameworks that support a globally consistent view of key compliance metrics and compliance risk assessment, monitoring, and program effectiveness.
- Translate complex compliance and data concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Develop a phased roadmap to mature compliance data and analytics capabilities over time.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and demonstrate influence without authority, serving as a trusted compliance partner to the business.
- Support budget planning and forecasting for compliance systems and related initiatives.
- Support other global compliance initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.
- Perform live monitoring (as needed) with domestic travel up to 20%.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of industry experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science required; J.D. or other advanced degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of seven years of combined experience in healthcare compliance, including in-house experience.
- Experience leading or supporting global system implementations, including project management, vendor management, communication, and change management activities.
- Experience working with data, analytics, and dashboards, with the ability to define requirements and translate data into compliance insights.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic vision with practical execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scope, priorities, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.
- Working knowledge and experience with U.S. healthcare fraud and abuse laws (e.g., Anti-kickback statute, False Claims Act), FDCA, FDA guidance, OIG Compliance Program Guidance, OIG advisory opinions, and federal and state transparency and compliance program disclosure laws, and U.S. and international industry codes (e.g., PhRMA, EFPIA, IFPMA).
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written); strong interpersonal skills in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive matters.
- Acts with a sense of urgency, with high motivation and ability to take initiative, follow through and complete projects in a professional and expeditious manner.
- Strong presentation skills, including creating and delivering presentations to various size audiences at all levels of the organization.
