BeOne continues to grow at a rapid pace with challenging and exciting opportunities for experienced professionals. When considering candidates, we look for scientific and business professionals who are highly motivated, collaborative, and most importantly, share our passionate interest in fighting cancer.

General Description:

The Associate Director, SAP Finance Solutions is a key leadership role within GTS Finance Technology, responsible for the strategic growth, operational excellence, and lifecycle ownership of SAP Finance capabilities for BeOne’s European, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) operations executed from Poland and the broader global footprint.

This leader executes and helps define the global vision for SAP Finance solutions—balancing standardized templates with regional requirements for European markets—to ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and scalable. The role brings deep hands‑on SAP FI expertise (including statutory and tax compliance, intercompany, month‑end close, and reporting), strong cross‑module integration knowledge, and the ability to guide and influence Finance and Technology stakeholders across regions.

This is a highly collaborative position that partners with business process owners, GTS solution managers, and technical teams to define roadmaps, govern changes, enhance solution maturity, and execute multi‑region deployments. The ideal candidate is also forward‑thinking—leveraging SAP best practices, digital accelerators, data insights, and automation strategies to build a modern Finance Technology ecosystem.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Finance Technology Architecture & Governance: Define and govern the regional SAP Finance technology landscape, establishing standards and templates for core finance processes including general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, tax, statutory reporting, month‑end close, and financial integrations. Ensure alignment between global template design and local EMEA statutory requirements.
  • Finance Technology Leadership: Provide expert, hands-on SAP FI guidance across configuration, design decisions, integration, and enhancements; oversee system interoperability with Controlling, Procurement (STP), Order-to-Cash, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A platforms to enable seamless end‑to‑end Finance processes.
  • Process Excellence & ROI Measurement: Drive continuous improvement of Finance processes; implement robust controls, audit‑ready designs, and standardized workflows to reduce downstream adjustments, reclassifications, and data inconsistencies. Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax obligations, internal controls, and global regulatory requirements.
  • User Experience & Stakeholder Engagement: Champion a cohesive and intuitive user experience for Finance teams across Poland, EMEA, and global operations. Partner with end users to understand pain points, gather feedback, iterate on solutions, and ensure SAP Finance platforms deliver business value.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate deeply with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Supply Chain, Commercial, and GTS teams to ensure solution design reflects business needs, fosters end‑to‑end alignment, and supports scalable operational models. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on Finance Technology topics.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies (AI/ML, RPA, predictive analytics) to inform the finance technology strategy and drive ongoing improvement.
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management: Lead and grow the SAP Finance Solutions team in Poland and the EMEA region. Oversee consulting partners and vendor resources, ensuring delivery quality, adherence to standards, and strategic alignment. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Finance Technology organization.

  Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in finance technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global teams and platforms.
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, General Ledger, multi‑currency configuration, Fixed Assets, Month‑end close processes, Intercompany accounting & reconciliation, FX handling, Tax setup, VAT, statutory & local ledger reporting (including Poland/EMEA-specific requirements such as SAF‑T, KSeF, split-payment)
  • Strong cross‑module understanding of FI‑CO, MM, SD, Treasury, Tax, and their end‑to‑end integration touchpoints.
  • Proven experience delivering SAP Finance capabilities as part of a global template—balancing standardization with local statutory compliance needs.
  • Experience leading or supporting large‑scale SAP implementations, enhancements, and regional rollouts.
  • Ability to evaluate solution fit/gap, perform functional design, author specifications, oversee configuration, and guide testing cycles.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX, audit readiness, and Finance data governance.
  • Experience with adjacent Finance platforms a strong plus: BlackLine, Kyriba, Tax packages, etc.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
