Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The primary purpose of the Associate Cloud Post Engineer is to support the Post Cloud infrastructure environment of NBCUniversal. The core responsibilities include (but are not limited to) managing and resolving requests from clients. Position requires a strong understanding of Avid and Adobe. This position is 100% remote and requires schedule flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Requirements:

• Avid (Interplay, NEXIS, Media Central Cloud UX and Media Composer)
• Adobe Creative Cloud, Blackmagic Resolve, 3rd party plugins for all applications
• Video signals - SD, HD, UHD, HDR, SRT resolutions, frame rates
• Video Compression - XDcamHD50, MPEG2, MPEG4/AVC, XAVC, DNx, ProRes etc.
• Thorough understanding of Window 11 and Windows Servers
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively with others across geographical locations
• Must be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and schedules
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Desired Characteristics:

• File encoding using Telestream Vantage
• Archiving middleware using Telestream Diva
• Leostream and Teradici PCoIP support
• File system administration (NFS, CIFS,SMB)
• Network infrastructure understanding (switches, routers, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS)
• File acceleration application using Signiant products

• Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee's residence
