Role Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our clients by managing all project administration components to ensure achievement of project objectives and KPI's. You will also play a key role in client engagement by maintaining strong relationships, proactively communicating updates, and contributing to consistent, high-quality project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Continually driving for the best outcome on each project for TMX’s client and continually delivering value
- Under the direction of the project lead, set up and maintenance of project systems and processes
- Participate in the tender process with developers and contractors.
- Administer construction contracts & Leases
- Maintain Project Plans.
- Manage various registers (Risk, Change/Variation, Lessons Learned, etc.).
- Set up and maintain project monitoring tools.
- Administer instructions, change/variations, risks/opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to Safe working practices in line with policies and legislation
- Maintain and enhance client relationships.
- Ensure no reputational issues with clients.
- Proactively communicate with clients to manage expectations and provide updates.
- Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.
- Developing an understanding and becoming an expert at all TMX systems and processes and being able to outline how these are used – and why – on projects
- Produce timely high-quality internal and external reports
- Understanding and delivering to TMBOK
Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years experience in construction and/or project management
- Experience in the industrial or supply chain sectors preferred
- Team player
- Proficient in the MS Office suite and experience in online project management software (Procore, etc.)
- Ability to resolve project issues and problems
- Highly-motivated self starter with enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable with dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and resolving issues by way of conversation and not just by email
