Position Overview (12 month contract)



CBTS is seeking a high-performing Assistant Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting for a dynamic and growing organization. This role is ideal for a candidate at the high end of the manager level or with prior assistant controller experience, who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys mentoring a team.



Key Responsibilities



Lead and manage daily accounting operations, overseeing a team of ~8 accountants.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with GAAP.

Support internal and external audit processes.

Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to support budgeting and forecasting.

Drive process improvements and support system enhancements.

Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.



Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA not required).

Proven experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).

Experience with Great Plains and/or OneStream is a plus, but not required.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.


Due to U.S. Government requirements applicable to foreign-owned telecommunications providers, non-US citizens may be required to submit to an extensive government agency background check which will necessitate disclosure of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information.
