Job Summary
As an Asset Management- Hedge Fund Research Analyst within the JPMorgan Asset Management Global Alternative Investment Solutions, you will be responsible for selecting and monitoring hedge fund managers across multiple asset classes. You will work closely with operations/structuring, portfolio construction, internal/external investors, and asset class leaders, becoming the central contact with external hedge fund managers. Your role will be integral in researching, helping select, and monitoring investment funds, including data maintenance and analysis. You will proactively integrate within relevant investment universes to source new opportunities and comprehensively underwrite new investments utilizing your analytical skills. You will also articulate the investment underwriting process to both external managers and investors, conveying knowledge and credibility.

Job Responsibilities:
- Act as an integral team member researching, helping select, and monitoring investment funds including data maintenance and analysis (both recurring and bespoke)
- Proactively integrate within relevant investment universes to source new opportunities
- Comprehensively underwrite new investments utilizing analytical skills drawn out of quantitative, qualitative, and interviewing skills to frame and present an investment thesis to senior management
- Understand broad range of financial and investment principles including credit, options, and risk management
- Articulate investment underwriting process to both external managers and investors while conveying knowledge and credibility
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years of relevant investment experience within hedge fund allocation
- Strong quantitative/analytical abilities as well as written/verbal presentation skills
- Ability to represent Global Alternative Investment Solutions to both fund managers and clients
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- CFA or MBA
