Job Description
JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is a global asset manager with $3.5 trillion in assets under management. Our Retirement Americas, Client business provides high quality investment management, and employer recordkeeping solutions for plan sponsor clients and their plan participants by delivering our capabilities across the firm.
As an External Client Advisor Retirement within JPMAM, you will be tasked with promoting our full service small and mid-market workplace retirement plan and Investment Only solutions through Financial Advisors in partnership with our US Advisor Distribution team. We also equip our advisors with the necessary tools and insights to assist their clients in constructing robust workplace retirement plans, ultimately leading to improved results for their plan participants.
Job Responsibilities

  • Raise and retain assets for JPMAM by driving sales growth for our Defined Contribution retirement solutions in in the South West territory (TX, NM, AZ, NV, S.CA) with Financial Advisors and their plan sponsor clients.
  • Partner with JPMAM US Advisor Distribution territory partners to deepen relationships with Financial Advisors, drive pipeline opportunities, and close plans.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations in partnership with Financial Advisors from Initial thru Finals stage, and offers guidance throughout the on-boarding process to ensure an optimal client transition experience.
  • Effectively manage multiple facets of the sales process including meeting coordination, RFP responses, product comparisons, proposals, pipeline management, follow-up items/activities.
  • Prepare all team members for effective client engagement from point-of-sale through the duration of the client relationship.
  • Collaborate with JP Morgan Relationship Managers on advisor Due Diligence meetings and point of sale presentations.
  • Travel requirements >70% with a minimum activity standard of 15 meetings per week.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum 3 years of external retirement plans wholesaling experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Series 7, 63
