J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is a global asset manager with over $3 trillion in assets under management. Our Retirement Americas Client business provides high quality investment management, and recordkeeping solutions for plan sponsor clients and their plan participants by delivering our capabilities across the firm. The Everyday 401(k) sales team is responsible for selling our small market 401(k) solution in partnership with Chase Business Bankers. J.P. Morgan Retirement also provides tools and insights that enables clients to build stronger retirement plans that lead to stronger retirement outcomes for participants.
As a Client Advisor on the Everyday 401k (EDK) team, you will manage the North California and Pacific Northwest (e.g., Oregon, Washington) sales territory. You will seek to cultivate referrals from small business business bankers, branch-based bank advisors, and centers of influence, such as CPAs. You will partner with an Internal Client Advisor (ICA) counterpart to manage your pipeline, handle plan sponsor meetings, and close deals. You should enjoy a high-velocity sales environment that marries relationship and transactional selling techniques.

Job Responsibilities
- Drive 401(k) pipeline and sales growth in the Northeast region in partnership with Chase Business Bankers, branch-based financial advisors, and COI's (e.g., CPA firms, payroll firms, etc.) to their small business clients.
- Partner with Internal Client Advisor (ICA) to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to planning, managing the territory, and converting leads to funded plans.
- Engage with business bankers, advisors and their leaders to best align activities with shared goals and optimize business results through a collaborative partnership to promote the benefits of J.P. Morgan's Everyday 401(k) solution, and develop strategic prospecting plans to grow territory sales.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations in partnership with bankers and advisors to plan sponsors, leading everything from pricing deals to effectively onboarding clients in partnership with onboarding/service teams
- Manage multiple facets of the sales process including meeting coordination, product comparisons, proposals, pipeline management, follow-up items/activities, etc.
- Prepare bankers and advisors for effective client engagement from point-of-sale through the duration of the client relationship.
- Assist in maintaining client relationships, collaborating with J.P. Morgan Relationship Managers and/or recordkeeper plan administration staff.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in small plan market retirement plan recordkeeping, administration, or advisory sales.
- Knowledge of corporate retirement plans, retirement plan recordkeeping and administration, mutual funds, and retirement industry trends.
- Experience selling in the territory
- Bachelor's degree
- Series 7, 63
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern B2B/FinTech sales approaches
- QKA or consultative recordkeeping selling experience is a plus
- Experience wholesaling internally to a banking or advisory franchise
- Familiarity with sales qualification/methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, BANT)

- Individual is expected to be based in the territory (CA, OR, WA, UT, or ID)
- Expected to travel in the field roughly 50% of the time
