We are seeking a results-driven and innovative App Store Optimization (ASO) Lead to manage and optimize our ASO and Paid Promotional Optimization (PPO) strategies across eight apps in our portfolio, including Gaia GPS, Trailforks, MapMyRide, MapMyFitness, MapMyRun, and MapMyWalk. The ASO Lead will play a pivotal role in driving new user acquisition, increasing downloads, and enhancing app store visibility through data-driven strategies, creative coordination, and continuous testing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. ASO and PPO Management:
    • Oversee and optimize ASO strategies for all apps, ensuring alignment with business goals.
    • Manage keyword research, metadata updates, and app store listings to maximize visibility and downloads.
    • Develop and execute PPO strategies to complement ASO efforts and drive user acquisition.
  2. Creative Collaboration:
    • Coordinate creative briefs and work closely with design teams to develop app store assets, including screenshots, videos, icons, and other visuals.
    • Ensure assets are on-brand, visually appealing, and optimized for target audiences.
  3. App Store Updates:
    • Execute App Store builds for updates to keywords, imagery, and other metadata where required.
    • Perform updates to Google Play, ensuring timely and effective implementation of changes.
    • Develop and manage custom store listings tailored to specific audiences or regions.
  4. Testing and Optimization:
    • Conduct continuous A/B testing on app store assets and strategies to improve conversion rates and performance.
    • Analyze results and provide actionable insights for future optimization.
  5. Regional Strategies:
    • Develop and execute regional ASO strategies to optimize app performance across diverse markets.
    • Tailor keywords, assets, and messaging to regional user behaviors and preferences.
  6. Performance Reporting:
    • Develop and maintain regular reports on ASO and PPO performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
    • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Mapping Growth Director and Read Growth Director.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with growth, marketing, product, and creative teams to align ASO efforts with broader user acquisition and retention strategies.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all ASO-related initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in ASO, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of driving app growth through ASO and PPO strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with A/B testing and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with app store guidelines, submission processes, and tools such as App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and third-party ASO tools (e.g., AppFigures).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing ASO for multiple apps or within a portfolio of brands.
  • Familiarity with creative asset production processes.
  • Understanding of paid advertising strategies within app stores.

What We Offer:

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of  between $80,000 to $110,000.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away,  sick leave, and more.  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
