About BranchLab

BranchLab is an AI-native technology company setting a new standard in privacy-first, outcome-based advertising for healthcare. Our Pathwai™ platform enables pharmaceutical brands, agencies, and media partners to design, activate, and measure audiences defined by real-world outcomes such as prescriptions, diagnoses, or healthcare visits.

By analyzing millions of patient journeys with advanced neural network modeling, Pathwai™ predicts the next likely step in care using non-health data, allowing advertisers to engage patients and caregivers earlier, while protecting consumer privacy. All data is anonymized and aggregated, ensuring compliance across all 50 states.

Our mission is to help healthcare brands achieve measurable performance while connecting more people with the care they need, when it matters most.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring an Applied AI Engineer to lead the development of LLM-powered applications that enhance our platform's intelligence and automation. This role focuses on loading proprietary data into foundation models, building RAG pipelines, developing LLM-based agents, and integrating with tools like Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI APIs, and vector databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy LLM applications using Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, and similar platforms

  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows with structured and unstructured data

  • Design and deploy AI agents that interact with tools, APIs, and databases

  • Fine-tune or adapt LLMs with custom data to support healthcare advertising use cases

  • Develop and integrate vector search systems using tools like FAISS, Pinecone, or similar

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ship production-ready AI features

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience deploying LLMs in a business setting (chatbots, search, summarization, etc.)

  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, LangChain, or similar frameworks

  • Familiarity with RAG architecture, vector search, and embedding techniques

  • Strong Python skills and experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred)

  • Ability to quickly prototype and iterate on AI-powered applications

Bonus Points

  • Experience integrating LLMs into customer-facing SaaS platforms

  • Knowledge of HIPAA or healthcare data environments

  • Exposure to agent orchestration and tool-use with LLMs (e.g., function calling, agents, tools)

Why Join BranchLab?

  • Competitive salary + significant equity

  • Tackle complex engineering challenges in privacy-first healthcare advertising.

  • Work alongside top-tier engineers, data scientists, and privacy experts.
