This is a remote-based position located in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa or Kansas.
Calix partners with hundreds of broadband service providers (BSPs), including many who serve their local communities. These local providers have deep roots in their communities and have made it their mission to enhance the subscriber experience. Calix launched SmartBiz so service providers can offer more than basic connectivity to every small business with a simple yet comprehensive solution—delivering security, content control, mobile backup, and more—while leveraging their existing Calix Cloud management solutions to ensure an exceptional experience for small businesses and their patrons.
The Application Sales Manager elevates our customer engagements to expose opportunities and challenges a BSP will experience unique to them. To accomplish this, the ASM must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deep understanding of our customers Go To Market (GTM) strategy, Network structures, and strategic goals
- Work closely with internal partners within Sales, Customer Success, Solution Engineering, and Delivery
- Customer facing presentations and customized demonstration of Calix Cloud solutions
- Basic project management, best practice documentation, and urgent escalation of support/technical items outside of your capabilities
- Evangelism across industry stakeholders, customer stakeholders, and internal stakeholders
- Work to attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
Qualifications:
- 5+ years customer-facing sales experience
- Background in explaining the technical aspects of SaaS solutions and articulating their value
- Knowledge of broadband networks and supporting software
- Knowledge of an integrated ecosystem SaaS model
- “Owner mindset” to drive the success of the SmartBiz solution for our BSP customers and the communities they serve
- “Growth mindset” to capture market quickly while looking for new ways to expand our capabilities and market penetration
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
- Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region
- Travel expectations: Up to 40% domestic travel
- Must have a valid Driver's License

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

213,000.00 - 320,000.00 USD Annual
National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:
185,000.00 - 278,000.00 USD Annual
Regional plus NY:
167,000.00 - 251,000.00 USD Annual
