The Opportunity:

The CIS program supports our intelligence customer deliver IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. We are driving an exciting technological transformation of customer IT services by leading the design, development, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge solutions. This includes continuous service improvement through the modernization of IT system infrastructure.

CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Application Network Services Specialist to support the mission objectives and needs of the customer, the Defense Intelligence Agency. As our Application Network Services Specialist, you will serve as a critical bridge between software applications and the underlying network infrastructure within a highly secure, classified environment. Acting as a key member of a global, 24/7 operations team, you will ensure that critical applications are highly available, secure, and performing optimally. You will own the application delivery lifecycle—managing traffic, load balancing, DNS/DHCP, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)—while facilitating seamless transitions from engineering to production via Blue/Green deployments. Your work directly guarantees that users experience uninterrupted, secure access to essential mission services.

The position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Infrastructure Services (CIS) contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Core Network & Application Services

    • Deploy and manage traffic solutions: Operate, maintain, and integrate application traffic management solutions, including traffic offloading/proxy and load balancing.

    • Manage DDI Services: Monitor and manage secure Domain Name Services (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Network Time Protocol (NTP) for internal and customer infrastructures.

    • Oversee Identity and PKI: Maintain the currency of all PKI user and server tokens, certificates, and the supporting chain of trust. Provide training and documentation to Trusted Agent (TA) personnel.

  • Operations & Incident Management

    • Provide Tier 2 Operations Support: Execute all Tier 2 activities, including incident analysis, troubleshooting, break/fix, and hands-on touch labor. Coordinate with Engineering for advanced troubleshooting.

    • Monitor Performance: Analyze capacity and service-level metrics to maintain optimal infrastructure utilization and proactively prevent errors from escalating into incidents.

    • Execute Maintenance: Perform scheduled and ad hoc maintenance, updates, and upgrades in accordance with authorized service interruption schedules.

  • Engineering Support & Innovation

    • Bridge Engineering & Operations: Analyze system architectures and concepts of operations to deploy infrastructure in line with program vision. Collaborate with Engineering and Government stakeholders to refine availability and operability requirements.

    • Manage Deployments: Oversee the transfer of engineered solutions from Engineering teams through Acceptance testing and Blue/Green fielding.

    • Utilize Lab Environments: Develop test cases and scripts for Beta and Acceptance tests. Use Lab facilities to investigate incidents, resolve problems, and validate the feasibility of designs before production deployment.

    • Drive Continual Service Improvement (CSI): Research new technologies, evaluate their benefits, and articulate evolutionary changes to stakeholders.

  • Compliance, Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain Security Posture: Provide continuous patch management across networks and security domains. Coordinate on approved Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).

    • Deliver Contract Requirements: Create required content, documentation, reports, and data adhering to contract schedules and formats.

    • Develop Knowledge Base: Work with technical writers to create and maintain SOPs, knowledge artifacts, and operations supporting information.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Must hold a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start

  • DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+)

  • An AA and 10+ years of experience, BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, MS/MA and 6+ years of experience, or PhD and 4+ years of experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience integrating, operating, and maintaining IT hardware and software solutions

Desired: 

  • Degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Local/Global Traffic Manager, Big IP (F5), Infoblox, and related application delivery technologies.

  • Deep familiarity with Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE) services and classified operating environments

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
