Are you passionate about solving real-world problems with cutting-edge technology? Do you want to be part of the team that’s building the backbone of the next industrial revolution? Join Arch Systems and help drive the transformation of global electronics manufacturing.
About this Role:
As an Applications Engineer on our AppEng team, you’ll be at the intersection of innovation and impact. This team plays a mission-critical role in ensuring technical and operational success for our customers by delivering reliable, high-quality data from factory floors around the world.
Every day, our ArchFX Platform ingests millions of IoT data points from thousands of advanced machines. These data streams are fused with a time-aware “factory map” — a digital representation of each machine’s physical location and configuration within production lines.
You’ll collaborate with industry-leading experts in electronics manufacturing and work on a platform that is redefining how factories operate in the Industry 4.0 era.
What You Will Own & Drive:
- Support and optimize data connectivity to factory machines
- Maintain and evolve the virtual factory map, a central data structure for the ArchFX Cloud
- Ensure seamless integration across our platform’s data pipelines, analytics models, and edge devices
- Track and resolve technical issues, driving operational excellence for your team and Arch customers
- Deploy and debug machine connections to customers’ manufacturing equipment to power Arch’s data analytics insights
- Use, improve, and develop monitoring tools and machine setup scripts to support machine connectivity
- Build and present technical reports to internal and external stakeholders on issue management and platform performance
- Work directly with customers and collaborate with Technical Project Managers, Account Managers, and other Applications Engineers to deliver successful rollouts and end-to-end solutions, including Factory Map deployment and full-stack integration
What You Bring to The Table:
- Basic understanding of computing and IT systems, cloud and web application software architecture, IoT, electronics, and data processing systems and an understanding of design for security, availability, and performance.
- Familiarity with running scripts and navigating Windows/Linux environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Extreme attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience working with customer-facing operations on understanding technical feedback and efficiently resolving issues.
- Understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with teams in Asia, Europe, and the Americas
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience using Python to support customer-facing systems
- Familiarity with databases and structured query languages (SQL)
- Experience with networking systems and protocols such as HTTP and MQTT
- Prior domain knowledge in electronics, discrete manufacturing, or factory equipment systems
- Strong working knowledge of issue tracking systems such as Jira or Asana
- Proficiency in Excel, including use of pivot tables, macros, and structured tracking tools
- Experience in a customer-facing engineering role
- Passion for manufacturing and building more connected, intelligent, and sustainable industrial systems
How We Will Support You:
