Role Overview

As an Analytics Solution Engineer, your primary mission is to partner with Account Executives to grow and accelerate deals by securing the Technical Win. You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers in the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment see and understand their data through the lens of Salesforce Analytics. You are not just a technical expert; you are a storyteller who can translate complex data challenges into compelling business solutions.

Why Join Us?

The Salesforce Analytics platform is a key innovation driver in the Agentic world, and is as much a philosophy as it is an amazing suite of tools, including Tableau and CRM Analytics. We enable people to transform data into something visual and understandable, empowering them to make important decisions based on those insights. Our products are key in helping organizations with data to see, understand, and act on data. Our core values—trust, customer success, innovation, equality, and sustainability—guide all our actions as a company and as individuals.

Your Impact (Responsibilities)

  • Secure the Technical Win: Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to overcome technical hurdles, build trust, and prove the value of Salesforce Analytics.

  • Masterful Discovery: Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to uncover a customer’s unique business challenges and data environment.

  • Strategic Solutioning: Design and build tailored demonstrations—using Tableau or CRM Analytics—that provide a "Path to Value" and address the specific objectives of various customer personas.

  • Innovation Management: Act as a bridge between the customer’s current state and their future data-driven goals, recommending practical next steps and long-term IT roadmaps.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead technical strategy for complex accounts, collaborating with Product and Professional Services teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.

What We Are Looking For (Competencies & Skills)

  • Data Storytelling: Exceptional ability to translate technical features into business outcomes through live product demonstrations and executive-level presentations.

  • Analytics Foundational Knowledge: A strong understanding of the analytics landscape, including data modeling, relational databases, and modern BI architecture (e.g., Tableau, CRM Analytics, or similar platforms).

  • Sales Acumen: Experience in a pre-sales environment or a strong desire to transition into a role where your technical skills directly drive revenue and customer success.

  • Agility & Curiosity: A "challenger" mindset with the ability to quickly learn and master new technologies within the evolving Salesforce and Tableau ecosystems.

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment to solve complex technical problems in varied customer environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in technical sales, data analysis, or business consulting.

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS), SQL, and the ability to work with various data structures.

  • Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Preferred: Prior experience as a Solution Engineer or Data Analyst within the CRM or Analytics industry.
