About us

Relay is a cross-chain payments protocol that provides instant low cost cross-chain bridging, swaps, and transactions. We're the fastest and cheapest way to bridge and transact across chains, serving over 5 million users who have completed 59+ million transactions with $6+ billion in volume across 85+ chains.

Our company mission is to make transacting across chains as fast, cheap, and reliable as online payments. We are building the core infrastructure to abstract chains from end user payments, enabling the next billion users to experience the benefits of blockchain without the UX burdens. We are bringing the Relay Network to market through our consumer app (relay.link) and major ecosystem partners, including Opensea, Alchemy, LiFi, Metamask, Coinbase, and more.

About the role

We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to help us make sense of cross-chain data at scale. You'll build the data models and pipelines that power decisions across our organization, from daily metrics to strategic insights.

What you'll do

Build the data foundation

  • Transform raw blockchain and production data into clean, reliable datasets

  • Own core analytics models across our medallion architecture

  • Partner with data engineering on ingestion pipelines

Work with blockchain data

  • Model transaction data across dozens of chains (swaps, bridges, fees, capital flows)

  • Integrate pricing feeds and partner data for competitive analysis

Enable analysis

  • Gather requirements from product, business, and operations teams

  • Design and standardize key metrics

  • Build dashboards and enable self-service analytics

About you

  • You care a lot about data quality and metric consistency

  • You know when to ask questions and how to analyze what's actually needed

  • You proactively find opportunities to explore and use data

  • You can translate technical concepts easily for non-technical stakeholders

  • You're excited about blockchain and on-chain data

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and good at pivoting when needed

Skills and abilities

  • You have 3-5+ years in data analytics roles

  • You have very strong SQL and data modeling experience

  • You have experience with modern tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or similar)

  • You're comfortable with large, complex datasets and semi-structured data

What we offer

  • Competitive base salary

  • Equity package

  • Comprehensive health benefits

  • Unlimited PTO policy with encouraged minimum

  • Remote-first culture with emphasis on collaboration, communication and flexibility
