About the role:
You will be part of the Products Analytics team, who are dedicated to turning product data into clear, actionable intelligence that guides strategic decisions. Day to day, you'll partner with Engineering to keep our data pipelines and models robust, collaborate with Product Managers to design meaningful telemetry and experiments, and provide timely analyses to colleagues in Sales, Customer Success and Strategy so they can better serve our customers.
The deliverables you create, dashboards, self-service reports and concise narrative analyses, will inform decisions across the company, influencing both product direction and commercial conversations. Your success will rest on upholding data quality, championing best-practice analytics and keeping a diverse set of stakeholders aligned on common goals. What we expect from you:
We're looking for a data engineer who brings curiosity, a sharp eye for detail, and a product-focused mindset to help us unlock insights and guide data-informed decisions. You thrive on experimenting with new approaches, amplifying your output with AI tools, and are always eager to understand the 'why' behind the data.Your communication skills help translate complex findings into clear, actionable narratives for diverse audiences.
Key requirements:
  1. Strong Python skills for data engineering.
  2. Experience with Azure, including:
    1. Azure Synapse Analytics
    2. Azure Functions
    3. Azure Data Lake
  3. Experience building modern data platforms, including multi-layered data architectures.
  4. Familiarity with Delta Lake and lakehouse architectures.
  5. Experience integrating data via REST APIs.
  6. Advanced SQL, including CTEs, window functions, and performance optimisation.
  7. Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformations, dimensional modelling (Kimball), and testing.
  8. Strong engineering practices: Git, CI/CD (pref. Azure DevOps), Infrastructure as Code (pref. Terraform).

Nice to have:
  1. PySpark for large-scale data processing.
  2. Experience working with PII and sensitive data.
  3. Experience with SaaS data sources (e.g. Salesforce, Zendesk, Amplitude).
