As an Analytics Engineer, you'll support internal teams by developing reliable data models, ensuring data quality, and creating intuitive reporting structures to facilitate decision-making across the business.
Top Skills: Cloud Data WarehousesDbtLookerOmni AnalyticsSQL

At Collaborative Robotics, we’re reimagining the future of human–robot interaction. Our goal is to create a world where robots are trusted extensions of their environment, working seamlessly alongside people, adapting to dynamic conditions, and enabling humans to focus on higher-value tasks.

As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will play a central role in making this vision possible. You’ll own the transformation layer of our data stack, shaping how raw data becomes insight. From modeling datasets with DBT to powering dashboards and reports, your work will enable engineers, operators, and leadership to make fast, confident, data-driven decisions.

In this role, you’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure data is both technically robust and aligned to business needs. You’ll be the bridge between data producers and data consumers, helping us scale our analytics and reporting while continuously improving the tools and models we rely on.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment where your work will directly impact how humans and robots work together. If you thrive at the intersection of data, engineering, and innovation—and want to help shape the future of robotics—we’d love to meet you.

This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters, or remotely within the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the transformation layer of our data stack: build and maintain DBT models to convert raw data into clean, documented, and analysis-ready datasets.

  • Partner with data engineers to ensure seamless data flow into Databricks and apply modeling best practices to enable self-serve analytics.

  • Build and maintain dashboards to support the engineering team and broader stakeholders with accurate and timely insights.

  • Field ad hoc data questions, enabling faster decision-making with clear data access and interpretation.

  • Automate the generation of weekly or monthly reporting materials, ensuring meeting prep and leadership updates are always ready with up-to-date data.

  • Proactively improve our data stack, suggesting new metrics, optimizations, or opportunities for better instrumentation.

  • Serve as the connective tissue between data producers and consumers, ensuring that data is both technically robust and business-aligned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field, or equivalent commensurate experience.

  • 2+ years of professional experience.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with DBT or a similar data modeling tool.

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar cloud data platforms.

  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.

  • Willing to occasionally travel.

  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an early-stage startup or high-growth environment.

  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis or data engineering.

  • Understanding of warehouse operations or robotics data is a strong plus.

  • Experience working with structured logs, telemetry, or IoT data.

  • Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams.

  • Robotics or experience measuring software on hardware systems is preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $145,000-$180,000 plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the noted geographic area. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
