At Moxie, we empower entrepreneurs to launch, run, and grow their own aesthetics businesses with a combination of software and services. In just over three years, we have grown from an idea to a global, remote-first team of more than 140 people. Our business is in the top decile for growth, and our team is consistently described as high-trust, low-ego, and high-output.
We’re looking for a Principal Data Analyst to build and lead the foundation of our analytics function from the ground up.
You’ll own high-impact dashboards and reporting infrastructure, partner cross-functionally to answer strategic business questions, and deliver insights that directly shape Moxie’s product, marketing, and operations. While you’ll have working knowledge of our data architecture and can query it independently, this role is primarily analytics-focused: your superpower is turning ambiguous business questions into clear, actionable answers.
This is a rare opportunity to be the lead analytics hire at a fast-growing startup where data is core to the business. You’ll work closely with the Chief Product Officer, Marketing leadership, and even the CEO — bringing structure and clarity to decisions that directly impact revenue, growth, and customer experience.
What you’ll doDeliver high-leverage analytics early: Ship dashboards and analyses that quickly surface insights and build trust across the business.
Work within our analytics stack: Use tools like dbt, Snowflake, Omni, and Mixpanel to query and structure data, partnering with Data Engineering as needed — but focusing on analytics and insights, not pipelines.
Translate business questions into insights: Turn ambiguous questions (e.g., “What’s driving retention?” or “Which pricing levers impact GMV?”) into clear, actionable recommendations that inform strategy.
Introduce modern tools & AI: Experiment with AI-driven workflows, recommendations, and benchmarking tools that embed intelligence into dashboards and products.
Lead critical initiatives: Finalize our marketing services analytics stack (e.g., Meta ad stitching) and build our core Practice Intelligence Dashboard — the tool our customers will use to run their businesses.
A proven track record of delivering actionable insights that shape strategy across product, marketing, or operations.
Expertise with analytics stacks such as dbt, Snowflake, Omni/Looker, Segment, and Mixpanel (or similar).
Ability to balance analytical depth with pragmatic execution — you’re comfortable querying data directly, but you know the goal is driving clarity and action, not perfect pipelines.
Strong business instincts to prioritize analytics work that moves the needle on growth, efficiency, or customer experience.
Exceptional communicator who can translate complex analysis for technical and non-technical teammates, build strong cross-functional relationships, and thrive in ambiguity.
Above all, we’re in this to empower small business owners to own and grow their businesses. If you succeed, Med Spas will remain an opportunity for independent owner-operators instead of being dominated by a few large chains. If that speaks to you, speak to us.
We have much left to build. But given the market feedback we’re getting and our founding team’s company-building experience, we believe we’re writing the first chapters of a real success story.
You’ll have the chance to:
Build the analytics foundation for a scaling company.
Shape how data is used across the entire org.
Experiment with AI and automation where it makes real impact.
Earn competitive salary and stock, plus generous health/dental/vision benefits.
At Moxie, we believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and included. We encourage people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to apply to our jobs. If you require any accommodations to fully participate in the interview process, please let us know—we’re happy to assist.
