The Opportunity at Komodo Health

The Analytics and Insights team at Komodo Health provides high-quality analytics and thought partnership to answer our clients’ key business questions and ultimately serve our mission to reduce disease burden. 

In this role, you will consult with healthcare clients to understand their business needs and partner with them to draw analytics and insights from Komodo products and data, with a goal to drive customer retention. You will also collaborate with internal teams to plan account strategy and provide feedback to enhance Komodo products.

  • Acquired a thorough understanding of the Komodo Healthcare Map and how to apply it to answer critical healthcare questions.
  • Developed an understanding of patient-level data and proficiency in our key offering areas, including patient journey, line of therapy, HCP segmentation, and market landscape assessments.
  • Partnered with customers to understand their business needs and ensure they derive value from Komodo products to serve their objectives.
  • Led multiple client-facing engagements across our key offering areas and ensured timely and accurate delivery, primarily leveraging Komodo products.
  • Presented insights to internal and external partners, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provided thought leadership and client recommendations at internal account strategy sessions to drive customer retention.
  • Identified new features and areas of development for Komodo products.
  • Created playbooks for how to serve our product customers in a scalable and repeatable manner.
  • Contributed to the growth and development of the team through the onboarding and training of new members.

These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for …

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to healthcare clients, translating their business questions into actionable analytic approaches using Komodo’s products and data.
  • Design and execute patient-level data analyses—including patient journey, HCP segmentation, market landscape assessments, and other key offerings—leveraging the Komodo Healthcare Map.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear, compelling storytelling in presentations and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, data science, and customer success to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery and continuous product improvement.
  • Participate in internal account strategy sessions to drive customer retention, growth opportunities, and future roadmap alignment.
  • Identify patterns and trends across client engagements to build repeatable, scalable playbooks and internal best practices.
  • Support team development by mentoring new hires, contributing to onboarding processes, and fostering a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing.

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

  • Client service-orientation: You understand client needs and how to develop solutions to address them.
  • Strong communication skills: You are comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels (technical and non-technical) and distilling complex topics and analyses into easy-to-follow and compelling narratives.
  • Healthcare or other related experience: You are familiar with life sciences needs, such as patient journey analytics, HCP engagement and segmentation, and market landscape assessments.
  • Data-driven mindset: You are able to dig into the data both within Komodo’s Healthcare Map and across external data sources that we receive from partners and customers to synthesize insights.
  • Problem-solving skills: You demonstrate strong logical thinking and an ability to see patterns.
  • Partnership mentality: You effectively collaborate with data science, account managers, sales, product, and clients to guide analyses, synthesize results, and share feedback.
  • Curiosity: You demonstrate an interest and aptitude for constant learning and regularly seek and welcome feedback and help from colleagues.
  • Flexible attitude: You adapt to changing environments and solve problems from new angles; you know how to manage ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in quantitative reasoning: You understand the basics of data science and classical statistics and can use that knowledge to scope out a client solution.
  • Consultative mindset: You identify and proactively offer recommendations based on observed insights.
  • You must have: Advanced Excel skills; experience translating analytic insights into PowerPoint or dashboards; prior life sciences or other healthcare experience analyzing claims data to inform business decisions; prior client-facing experience in Commercial Analytics, Marketing Sciences, or other related functions; technical experience with tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Snowflake.

  3. Regularly leverages AI tools such as Notion AI, Perplexity, Claude, Descript, Runway, Midjourney, or Microsoft Copilot i.e. to improve speed, clarity, or creative output.

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of annual base pay that we reasonably expect to pay for this position within the US. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.


The starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position is also eligible for commissions in accordance with a written agreement or plan. This role may also be eligible for equity awards. In addition, this role is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible time off and holidays; 401(k) with company match; disability insurance and life insurance; and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations and company policy. 

San Francisco Bay Area and New York City:
$129,000$165,000 USD
All Other US Locations:
$112,000$145,000 USD

Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
