Purpose and Job Summary:
The Processor plays a crucial role in supporting the Agency Affordable Underwriting Team by undertaking various administrative and analytical tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the underwriting process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Order and Manage Reports: Order, track, and secure third-party reports from various vendors to ensure all necessary information is readily available for the underwriting team.

  • Conduct Thorough Searches: Perform comprehensive credit and negative media searches for all individuals and entities required by the Agencies, document findings in the underwriting file, and promptly communicate any significant discoveries to the underwriting team.

  • Collect and Distribute Due Diligence: Obtain the necessary underwriting due diligence from the borrower, verify its acceptability, and distribute it to the underwriting team members assigned to the mortgage loan.

  • Verify Financial Information: Obtain and scrutinize credit reports, as well as confirm liquidity and mortgages for underwritten sponsors. This critical task ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data used in the underwriting process.

  • Coordinate Site Inspections: Facilitate the scheduling and logistics of property site inspections, serving as a liaison between the underwriting team and various stakeholders.

  • Maintain Policies and Procedures: Distribute communication from the agencies to the underwriting team and manage updates to policies and procedures based on feedback from senior leadership.

Travel Requirements - 10%.

Education, Skills and Experience:
Required:

  • Educational Background: Recent college graduate or a professional with limited to no experience in real estate, eager to learn and grow in the field.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software systems.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Possess outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, along with strong presentation and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interactions with team members, management, and external contacts.

  • Quick Learner: Demonstrated ability to rapidly assimilate new information and concepts, showcasing independent problem solving skills while being a cooperative team player.

  • Organizational Competence: Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that all assignments are completed on time and to a high standard. The Processor role requires an individual who can thrive in meeting strict deadlines.

  • Professionalism: Exhibits a courteous and polished demeanor when interacting with colleagues, leadership, and outside parties, fostering a positive work environment.
