Summary of the position:
The S&OP Analyst - OEM, located in Chicago - Hybrid (In Office/Remote), will be the single point of contact for sales teams and have end-to-end responsibility for demand forecasting, synchronizing supply to demand, evaluating, and preparing of customer forecasts, communicating the status of product availability, lead times, and defining inventory strategy for OEM Market Segments.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Schedule and Facilitate Monthly Global S&OP Demand Review meetings (Step 1) with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management (North America, EMEA, Latin America)
- Initiate forecast using forecasting software, analyze, adjust models, execute overrides, and present forecast in preparation for monthly S&OP review meetings.
- Work closely alongside major OEM customers and HGAP sales and product management to receive customer forecasts, input into forecasting system, collaborate, plan, forecast, and replenish (CPFR) inventory to achieve customer lead time expectations.
- Facilitate and work cross functionally with supply planning & factory operations groups during Supply and Capacity reviews (Step 2) to balance weekly/monthly demand & supply, prioritization of customer demands, and provide inputs to allocate capacity, when supply is constrained.
- Facilitate monthly S&OP Partnership consensus meetings (Step 3) and prepare revenue outlook for proposed S&OP Plans for executive approval and sign off.
- Identify, establish, and communicate forecasting & replenishment configurations for finished goods stocking.
- Run, format, analyze, and prepare essential reports and forecasting projects to support the S&OP Process
- Provide reports, graphs, and data analysis to support forecasting performance and S&OP KPIs (MAPE, Bias, FVA, etc.)
- Cleanse history, including but not limited to: Product attribute/hierarchy assignments, review master data for corrections, repair, interpolate actuals timing, phase in/phase out of new products and models, as well as mapping of history, etc.
- Update/Initiate final executive approved forecasts into S&OP using SAP ERP systems as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s/Associates degree in business, supply chain or related field; CPIM/CPF preferred
Professional experience:
- 5+ years of supply chain, demand planning, S&OP education; experience with manufacturing setting preferred
- Experience with materials planning systems (MRP), SAP, and experience or familiarity with forecasting process/software (Forecast Pro/SAP IBP) preferred
- MS Office Suite, intermediate Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required; must be able to engage and communicate with various levels throughout the organization
- Ability to work in matrix organization in various locations (domestic & international), independently, and influence at all hierarchy levels
