This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
To conduct basic research, evaluations and analyses related to short and long-term financial planning requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Compile, analyze and evaluate operating and financial data
  • Assist in producing forecasts, the annual business plan, and long range plans
  • Review financial data, plans, and reports for completeness and accuracy and ensure timeliness of completion
  • Assist with the development of various management presentations
  • Assist department owners with tools for forecasting, budgeting and overall department assessment
  • Use and maintain information systems, software, financial models and reports
  • Participate in special projects driven by current company needs or business conditions
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business or a related quantitative / analytical discipline
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting theory, practice and financial analysis and/or other related quantitative / analytical methods
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including, but not limited, to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
