Job Description

As an AML Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in protecting our customers and ensuring regulatory compliance through meticulous analysis and investigation of financial transactions. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to developing and implementing strategies that enhance our AML capabilities and maintain the highest standards of security and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to AML regulations and internal policies by continuously reviewing and updating procedures in line with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of customers and transactions to identify and mitigate potential AML risks. Design, implement and refine AML Rules, customer risk rating and enhanced due diligence measures

  • Analyze AML data and trends to identify emerging risks and enhance detection capabilities. Develop and refine analytical models and tools for improved monitoring and risk assessment.

  • Design and deliver training programs to raise awareness about AML procedures and best practices for Oscilar’s customers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Strong data analysis and correlation skills with the ability to handle complex and unfamiliar data sets, attention to detail, and the ability to identify data discrepancies. Proficiency in SQL and analytical tools (SAS, R, Python) is essential.

  • In-depth understanding of AML regulations, policies, and procedures. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and anti-money laundering laws.

  • At least 5 years of experience in AML compliance or financial crime prevention within financial institutions or similar environments. Experience with transaction monitoring and investigation is essential.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in AML software and tools. Experience with data analysis, risk assessment, and report writing is crucial.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working effectively with multicultural and global teams with minimal supervision.

  • Naturally curious, data-driven, results-oriented, highly adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute.
