Position Overview

Cadwell Industries is seeking an AI Solutions and Automation Analyst to build, deploy, and maintain the AI agents and automated workflows that improve productivity across our business functions. This role is the primary builder within Cadwell’s AI Center of Excellence, translating prioritized business problems into working solutions, then documenting and supporting them so they remain reliable long after launch.

The position reports to the Manager, AI Strategy and Enterprise Enablement, who sets governance direction and enterprise priorities. This role carries the technical execution, participates directly in governance decisions, and maintains the shared documentation that allows either party to cover the other’s portfolio without loss of continuity. The successful candidate is a hands-on builder who is equally comfortable writing Python, mapping a support workflow with a department head, and explaining a risk control to an executive.

Key ResponsibilitiesAI Solution Development and Automation
  • Design, build, test, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows against prioritized business use cases.
  • Integrate AI solutions with existing enterprise systems, including CRM, ERP, and internal data sources, using APIs, low code platforms, and agent orchestration tools.
  • Build and maintain prompt libraries, agent configurations, and reusable components for organizational reuse.
  • Evaluate AI platforms and tools alongside IT, contributing technical assessments on capability, security posture, cost, and integration fit.
  • Monitor deployed solutions for accuracy, drift, cost, and failure conditions, and remediate issues as the technical owner.
  • Own the operational foundation for AI work, including repository structure, environment separation, access management, and tool and license administration for the AI Center of Excellence.
Enterprise AI Enablement
  • Conduct workflow analyses with assigned business functions to identify where AI agents improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Serve as primary AI Center of Excellence contact for assigned functions, which may include Support, Implementation, Sales, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance and Accounting.
  • Design and execute pilot programs and phased rollouts, including success criteria, test plans, and rollback conditions.
  • Build and report ROI measurement for deployed solutions, including baseline capture before launch, with pilot programs targeting at least a twenty percent reduction in manual effort or cycle time in the processes they address.
  • Partner with process owners on change management so that solutions are adopted rather than merely delivered.
Governance Participation and Operational Continuity
  • Co-author AI policies and governance artifacts covering ethical use, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity alignment.
  • Own AI use case intake, initial risk review, and application of the prioritization framework for assigned functions, with the Manager, AI Strategy and Enterprise Enablement as approver.
  • Implement human in the loop oversight and risk controls within every solution built, and document where those controls sit.
  • Operate strictly within Cadwell internal business processes, maintaining clear separation between AI Center of Excellence work and regulated product development, including the design controls and quality system that govern Cadwell products.
  • Define and enforce approved data classes for AI tools, ensuring that protected health information and regulated product data do not enter unapproved systems.
  • Serve as named alternate in Cadwell’s AI governance forum, and present to executive leadership on a defined cadence.
  • Maintain the AI Center of Excellence continuity assets as a standing accountability: the enterprise AI use case inventory, the AI tool and model register, the governance decision log, and runbooks for every automation in production.
  • Maintain documented coverage of this portfolio, and cross train on the portfolio held by the Manager, AI Strategy and Enterprise Enablement, so that either party can carry the work of the other without loss of continuity.
Adoption, Training, and Advisory
  • Contribute to AI adoption playbooks, internal prompting guidelines, and training materials.
  • Deliver hands on enablement sessions to business teams on approved tools and workflows.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on practical AI application, current tool capability, and known limitations.
QualificationsEducation

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Experience
  • Two to five years of experience in software development, data analytics, automation, digital transformation, or business process optimization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, with work samples or a portfolio of built solutions.
  • Hands on experience with generative AI platforms and large language model APIs.
  • Working experience with at least one AI agent framework, workflow automation platform, or agent orchestration tool.
  • Proficiency in SQL, and working familiarity with a visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience integrating systems through APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver against them.
  • Experience deploying and securing applications on a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS), including service configuration, secrets management, and identity/access controls.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare technology, or another regulated industry.
  • Exposure to AI governance, model risk management, or responsible AI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP data models, with Salesforce and Infor Syteline experience preferred.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy considerations in AI deployment.
  • Experience producing technical documentation intended for handoff.
  • Certifications in AI, machine learning, or AI governance and ethics.
Core Competencies
  • Builder orientation with bias toward working solutions over analysis.
  • Systems level thinking and business process mapping capability.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into executive level insight.
  • Documentation discipline, treating written handoff quality as part of the deliverable.
  • Sound ethical judgment and regulatory awareness.
  • Data literacy and analytical rigor in interpreting AI performance metrics.
  • Collaborative posture across functions with varying levels of technical fluency.
