Creative Editor, AI Tools & Research

Location: Remote
Status: Full-Time

At Marketing Architects, we believe TV advertising is still the most powerful marketing channel. But the typical process for TV is expensive, difficult to scale and to measure. So we flipped the traditional approach on its head and rebuilt the agency model with the client in mind. Today, we're growing a team of talent from across the United States to reimagine how brands advertise on TV.

ROLE OVERVIEW

AI tools are moving faster than any one editor can keep up with. We're hiring an AI Research & Development Specialist to live inside the tools, run hands-on pilots, and tell the rest of our creative team what's actually worth their time. You'll report to our VP of Possibility Engineering, and work alongside our editors, post supervisors, and our engineering team to establish and develop an industry leading AI Creative Production environment.

What you'll do:

  • Research and test AI tools: Live in the AI creator communities (Discord, X, Reddit) and run structured hands-on tests on generative video, image, audio, and text tools worth a closer look.

  • Cut broadcast-quality spots: Support the team as a senior-level editor, shipping real, broadcast-quality work when production needs you.

  • Build the playbook: Document what works, what doesn't, and how to use it: prompt libraries, evaluation reports, and best-practice guides our editors and producers actually use.

  • Embed with production: Partner with editors and producers on real spots, finding the high-friction moments where AI saves real time without sacrificing broadcast quality.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with legal, engineering, and product teams on tool evaluation, licensing terms, and shared adoption decisions.

Who you are:

  • Editor-rooted: You've spent 5+ years cutting TV spots or short-form video and can build a polished :30 from scratch at senior-editor level.

  • AI-immersed: You've personally tested Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Suno, Sora, or similar tools and can show us recent output you've produced, not decks about AI.

  • Community-active: You're already in the Discord servers, X threads, and Reddit communities where AI creators share tips, codes, and beta access.

  • Evaluation-disciplined: You can run a structured test, write up the pros and cons, and call out when a hot tool isn't broadcast-ready.

What this role is not:

This is not a software engineering or machine learning role. You won't be building models, training algorithms or writing production code. If your background is full-stack or ML development without hands-on editing and a body of creative work you've personally produced, this isn't the right fit, and that's okay. We're looking for an editor first who happens to be obsessed with AI, not an AI developer who occasionally edits.

Our values:

  • Hungry Humble Smart: We seek a trifecta of talent. We take initiative and act with urgency. Look inwards before outwards. Value EQ over IQ.

  • Mindset Matters: Success starts between our ears. We face challenges with a calm confidence and pivot quickly. As eternal optimists, we know we are capable of great things and have survived worse. Our best days are always ahead.

  • Team Is Hero: We, not me. Being a hero is a team sport and it's the unique talents of many that make us one of a kind. No one person can win the day, but great teams can change the world.

BENEFITS OVERVIEW

We offer rewarding careers that encourage growth while providing industry-leading benefits including:

  • Fully remote within the US

  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental and disability, with vision option

  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a 4% company match
