Summer Internship
Our Summer Internship is designed for students leading into their final year of university, who want to gain real life work experience in a fast past, exciting and professional environment.
As a Summer Intern, you will participate in onboarding with the UR team that will set you up for success in your role. You will also benefit from professional development sessions, networking, and social events provided by the Internship Program.
The program takes place from June – August 2026 (10 week program)
About the RoleVeeam Data Cloud (VDC) is a software as a service (SaaS) offering for backup and recovery and data resiliency. Our VDC Intelligence team is building a next-generation AI and data platform that sits at the heart of cloud-native backup infrastructure—where intelligence meets exabyte-scale datasets.
As a Summer Intern on our VDC AI team, you will work alongside a collaborative group of AI engineers who are passionate about building secure, scalable, and meaningful AI solutions for global-scale data systems. You’ll take ownership of impactful projects, contributing code, ideas, and experiments to real features used by large enterprise customers. Throughout your internship, you’ll learn and apply the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning—including LLMs, embeddings, and prompt engineering—while gaining practical experience with cloud infrastructure and production-grade workflows. You’ll help define and measure what “quality” means for AI in the real world by running experiments to benchmark and improve system performance, relevance, and security. Sharing your insights and results with a supportive team that values transparency, curiosity, and continuous learning, you’ll also join cross-functional meetings and collaborate with other teams to understand how your work advances data security and resilience at scale. You’ll be part of a team that values autonomy, growth, and diverse perspectives—making a genuine impact on Veeam’s next-generation AI platform.
What You’ll Do- Collaborate with experienced AI engineers to build and test features that use AI to summarize, extract, and analyze data from global-scale backup systems.
