Job Description

As an AI and Automation Team Lead, you will be responsible for building and leading the function, driving strategic initiatives and hands-on execution to achieve our objectives.

The AgentOps department empowers Business functions through the strategic design, development, deployment, and lifecycle management of advanced AI-powered solutions.

Our main objective is to deliver significant improvements in operational efficiency and foster a culture of innovation, delivering seamless integration and orchestration with wider Business systems

This role requires a hands-on approach, with an expectation to code and deliver alongside the team, whilst also providing strategic direction. You will be instrumental in turning Business challenges into optimised AI deployments to drive automation across the Company. You will establish and coach a specialist team dedicated to managing the full lifecycle of AI agents and automated workflows, and contributing to the technical delivery of solutions.

The listed salary for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 annually.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within a leadership role, preferably within an AI, automation or data-focused environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI agents and automated workflows.
  • Proven experience a player-coach with a strong technical background and a hands-on approach.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent technical projects.
  • Possesses a proactive drive to deliver value, exploring new and emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience utilising AI and automated workflows.

Additional Information

  • Demonstrating and fostering a hands-on approach to AI agent and workflow development, coding and delivering solutions alongside the team.
  • Providing strategic direction for the AgentOps function, aligning with overall Business goals.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of AI engineers who can deliver at speed and scale.
  • Managing the AgentOps project workload, through initial requirements, prioritisation delivery.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between the AgentOps team and stakeholders across Operations, Finance, HR, and other relevant departments.
  • Overseeing the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered workflow solutions using platforms such asn8n in a production environment.
  • Establishing and enforcing governance, security, and risk management frameworks for AI agents in collaboration with Information Security.
  • Driving the continuous improvement of AgentOps processes, tools, and methodologies in collaboration with the Innovation Team.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation and agility, operating with a startup mindset to deliver value quickly.
