We're hiring an Affiliate & Creator Marketing Specialist to help run our affiliate and creator programs as a revenue channel and to make sure the best of what those creators produce ends up working for us in paid media.

The job has three connected parts. You'll co-own the day-to-day of the internal affiliate program (Roster): onboarding, commission structures, codes and links, payouts, and performance. You'll build and maintain the creator roster that feeds it, sourcing new partners and moving standout creators into higher-value tiers. And you'll work closely with our paid media team to get usage rights and whitelisting in place so top-performing creator content can run as partnership ads rather than staying stuck in organic.

That third piece is what makes this role different from a standard affiliate job. The creator who converts well organically is often the one whose content converts well in paid, and the handoff between those two things is where most brands lose money. You'll own that handoff.

Our stack Roster for program management, seeding, attribution, and payouts, and Refunnel/Reacher for UGC capture, usage rights, and one-click whitelisting into partnership ads. Experience with either is a strong plus; comfort learning tools like them quickly is required.

What you'll do

Affiliate program management

  • Own affiliate onboarding and day-to-day platform administration
  • Set and manage commission structures, discount codes, and referral links, and process payouts accurately and on schedule
  • Allocates affiliate budget and determines commission structures based on creator performance and tier potential
  • Monitor program performance — clicks, conversions, revenue — and report on affiliate contribution to total creator-driven revenue
  • Monitor for fraud, coupon abuse, and policy violations, and resolve escalations
  • Owns strategy for converting high-performing organic creators into paid partnership opportunities
  • Evaluates and onboards creators to targeted tier levels; manages creator accounts with independent judgment
  • Partner with Finance and Ops on payout reconciliation and reporting

Building the creator roster

  • Source new creators through social listening — starting with people already tagging Portland Leather Goods — and evaluate them on brand fit, content quality, audience makeup, and conversion potential, not follower count
  • Maintain a pipeline of high-performing affiliates and promote standout creators into paid tiers, ambassador status, or dedicated collaborations
  • Run product seeding end to end: selection, order placement, tracking, and follow-up on whether the product produced content

Feeding paid media

  • Secure usage rights at the brief stage, as a condition of the partnership rather than an afterthought, and track terms and expirations
  • Manage whitelisting and partnership ad access so the paid team can run creator content from the creator's handle
  • Work with Paid Media to identify which organic creator content is worth testing as an ad, and route it to them cleared and ready
  • Feed creator performance signal back into partner decisions — if a creator's content performs in paid, that's a reason to invest more in them

Partner communication and compliance

  • Communicate regularly with affiliates on program updates, incentives, and performance feedback to keep top performers engaged
  • Ensure all affiliate and creator content meets FTC disclosure requirements and Portland Leather Goods brand standards
  • Serve as the main point of contact for creators, talent managers, and agency partners
QualificationsWhat we're looking for

Someone who treats affiliate marketing as a performance channel, not an admin function. You understand how commission structures work, what actually motivates a creator, and how to read program data to find the next thing worth optimizing. You're organized enough to manage a high volume of relationships without errors in payouts or tracking, and sharp enough to know which creators to invest in and which to cut.

You should also be comfortable working alongside a paid media team. You don't need to build campaigns, but you should understand why a rights window matters to them and what makes a piece of creator content worth putting spend behind

Requirements

  • 2–4 years in affiliate marketing, influencer or creator marketing, or partnership marketing, brand or agency side
  • Hands-on experience administering an affiliate or creator platform — Roster, Refunnel, ShopMy, LTK, Superfiliate, Impact, CJ, or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to read program data and act on it
  • Precision with payouts, tracking, codes, and rights documentation
  • Strong written communication — most partner contact is written, and it represents the brand
  • Real fluency in Instagram and TikTok, including creator culture and what performs

What we can offer you!

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance to keep you and your family covered
  • 401k with company match - We match up to 4% to help you build your financial future
  • Paid time off - We want you to take time to rest, recharge, and show up at your best
  • Employee discount - Exclusive savings on our products
  • Career Growth Opportunities - A dynamic role with room to learn, grow, and advance your career

About Portland Leather

We have come a long way since the garage days! Portland Leather Goods was established in early 2016 by our founder Curtis Matsko. Before Portland Leather Goods, you couldn’t find a simply designed, affordable bag made from high quality full–grain leather. Even if the aesthetic and the price were right, the leather felt and looked cheap, or worse, it wasn’t even real leather! In order to get a beautiful full grain leather bag, you had to spend a fortune. We’re proud to make a leather bag with classic appeal at a price everyone can feel good about.
