The Opportunity  

Adobe is looking to employ a positive, hard-working, and consulting focused Architect into America’s Field Engineering team under Ultimate Success! This is a client-facing role passionate about helping clients to realize and quantify value driven by our Adobe solutions. This position will require foundational technical knowledge across Adobe products and in-depth strategic and analytical skills. This consultant will work to capture and understand their client’s outstanding business objectives and provide advice on how best to meet their needs using one or more Adobe solutions. In addition, the consultant will collaborate with a cross-team to deliver recommendations, including both technical and strategic services to help drive business impact and support business needs. 

 

What you'll Do  

  • Be a recognized authority (by clients, partners, and colleagues) in AEM software-based solutions & technologies. 

  • Work to educate clients on the standard methodologies in relation to their specific industry and key business requirements. 

  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of a client’s technical environment, business objectives, goals and challenges to provide the best advice needed to drive customer success and value with Adobe solutions. 

  • Optimally analyze hard project issues, identify the possible solution options, and facilitate the presentation and review of the options and our recommended solution with customers and partners. 

  • Efficiently multi-task, working across multiple client engagements at the same time as well as key internal initiatives. 

  • Actively maintain the highest level of technical expertise by knowing the latest Adobe technologies through internally and externally available learning opportunities and self-study. 

  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively and regularly (up to 50%). 

  • Interact frequently with clients via phone, email, and/or in-person—including interaction with marketers, analysts, web developers, and C-level executives 

  • Keep accurate daily records of client billable time 

  • Use Microsoft Office products to build client documentation and presentations 

 

What you need to succeed  

 

  • The capacity to understand business requirements and translate them into architecture, design and development activities for our most sophisticated Web based solutions. 

  • Experience articulating technical solutions and how they can tackle client business problems to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • The ability to adapt to and work optimally with a variety of clients and partners in complicated situations, employing strong facilitation skills while establishing credibility and trust quickly. 

  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Forms on different hosting options like on-premises, Managed Services and Cloud Services. Forms EDS is preferable. 

  • Experience in application development on Java/JEE platform. 

  • Experience in development of AEM Forms - Adaptive Forms/Fragments and OSGi workflows as well as

  • Implementing of OSGi Services/Components and XDPs.

  • Experience in usage of AEM Forms Document Services. 

  • Experience in Adobe LiveCycle Modules like - LiveCycle Forms, Process Management, Rights Management, document security, digital signatures. 

  • Experience in development of web services - SOAP/REST, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 and frameworks/technologies like jQuery and AJAX. 

  • Experience in working with RDBMS. 

  • Experience in working in an Agile development environment. 

  • Experience in Adobe LiveCycle upgrades [ES2/ES3/ES4] 

  • Proficiency in the Sling or OSGi frameworks, JCR API, RESTful principles or ExtJS framework, Dispatcher or CDNs a plus.   

  • Debugging and appropriate debugging tools usage skills in general TCP/IP networking, UNIX Operating system, HTTP protocol and request processing, SMTP, etc.   

  • Mastery in at least one of the current SQL dialects.   

  • Administration and debugging of Web servers, e.g. Apache.   

  • Proficiency of Object-Oriented Programming Methodology & Practice, ideally with designing and programming of applications using Object Oriented Programming Methodology applying Java language constructs.   

  • Optimizing web solutions and architecting to accommodate performance requirements.   

  • Preferred experience in the following solutions 

  • A deep technical knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and Assets on different hosting options like on-premises, Managed Services and Cloud Services. 

  • Experience in implementing AEM integration with one or more following Adobe products – Adobe Launch, AA, AT, AAM, Campaign, Marketo, Commerce, Workfront, Personalization using ContextHub, Creative Cloud products etc. 

  • Knowledge of XML and related technologies, e.g. definition and interpretation of DTDs, supporting architectures etc., preferably also including XSLT, extended DTD know how, XML dialects such as SOAP, WML, ICE, etc.  

  • BS Degree in computer science or 5+ years of experience in the Web and/or ECMS technologies. 

  • 5+ years of direct client consulting experience. 

  • Must be a self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with high levels of teamwork and partnership! 

  • Possess an innovative, problem-solving approach using Adobe solutions 

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time 

 

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $113,400 -- $204,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
