In product management, you will be the general manager of commercial and internal products. You will sit at the intersection of the business, user experience, and the technologies that solve our customer and end-user problems; confirming they meet market demands and drive business growth. You will design, develop and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Your involvement will last throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades, maintenance of the product or product line. For commercial products, it also includes commercialization, go-to-market planning, sales, and other key business support activities.

The Opportunity
As an Advisory National - Product Management Intern, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of product management, gaining exposure to innovative software and product development practices. You will support client-facing teams in managing product lifecycles, conducting market research, and analyzing competitive landscapes to drive strategic product decisions. As an Intern, you will engage in a participatory role, contributing to projects while learning from experienced professionals. You will observe and support teams, applying a learning mindset to develop your skills in customer relationship management, agile methodologies, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities
- Supporting product management teams in the development and execution of product strategies
- Participating in market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of product roadmaps and lifecycle management plans
- Engaging in customer needs analysis to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements
- Contributing to the development of business cases and pricing strategies for new products
- Observing and learning agile methodologies to improve product development processes
- Assisting in the preparation of user guides and product specifications for internal and external stakeholders
- Gathering feedback from stakeholders to refine product features and functionalities
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Design, Engineering, Engineering and Business, Industrial Design, Management Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or Statistics
- Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA
- Demonstrating knowledge in Agile Methodology and Product Lifecycle Management
- Participating in competitive analysis and market research initiatives
- Supporting product development and product ideation processes
- Engaging in customer relationship management and customer needs analysis
- Contributing to strategic planning and business case development activities

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
