The Commercial Sponsorships Advisor will support the strategic development of the sponsorship portfolio, sourcing, management, and evaluation of sponsorship opportunities in Ontario, Atlantic and West regions, aligning the initiatives with broader business and marketing objectives. This role requires superior analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills to maximize brand and business impact through external partnerships. More specifically, you will be required to:
Build and deliver sponsorship strategies that directly support the line of business’s goals and marketing priorities, rooted in data-driven insights
Proactively analyze the current sponsorship portfolio, conducting regular assessments, and provide recommendations for optimization and strategic growth
Source and evaluate new sponsorship opportunities, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, target audiences, and budget constraints
Negotiate partnership agreements, structure deliverables, and manage contract compliance to maximize ROI (return-on-investment) and ROO (return-on-objectives) while protecting organizational interests
Serve as primary contact for partners, manage day-to-day communications, and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with both sponsors and internal teams
Design and lead strategic activation plans in partnership with internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, events, product teams) to bring sponsorship concepts to life and ensure seamless integration within broader campaigns
Monitor, measure, and report on sponsorship performance using KPIs, analytics, and feedback to inform ongoing improvements and demonstrate business value
Stay current on industry best practices, trends, and competitor activity, ensuring recommendations and activations are innovative and best-in-class
Help champion a culture of collaboration, agility, and creative problem-solving; actively navigate ambiguity and competing business needs to deliver solutions that balance all stakeholder interests and objectives
Provide guidance and resources (e.g., training, toolkits, best practices) to internal teams and partners to elevate sponsorship execution and impact

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or in a related field
A minimum of five years of relevant experience in sponsorship management, partnership marketing, or a related discipline, ideally in a complex, matrixed organization or a regulated industry

Advanced experience crafting and implementing sponsorship strategies that deliver measurable business results
Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Advanced proficiency with project management
Advanced knowledge of using data and insights to assess opportunities and recommend strategy
Advanced knowledge and understanding of property and casualty, life-health insurance and wealth management
Advanced commercial acumen and risk management
