Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab), a nature-focused global adventure travel company based in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking an Adventure Sales Associate to join our Sales team. This person is responsible for supporting the Adventure Specialists with various guest-facing tasks, organizational models, and collaborating on team projects.   

 

The successful candidate must align well with our company’s culture and values, possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment. We are only considering local candidates for this role. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  

  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Communication & Support 

  • Learn all trip destinations and itineraries in detail to provide accurate, engaging information. 
  • Handle designated calls and emails from prospective and booked travelers efficiently and professionally. 
  • Proactively follow up with guests to support conversions and maintain positive relationships. 
  • Provide support for existing reservations, pre-trip questions, special requests, and additional services. 

Sales Operations & Administration 

  • Create and maintain prospect lists, follow-up templates, and outreach tools to assist Adventure Specialists. 
  • Manage the email inbox for out-of-office team members, ensuring seamless guest communication. 
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM/sales systems to support reporting and data integrity. 
  • Assist with the creation of customized itineraries and proposals, collaborating with partners to ensure accuracy and creativity. 

Cross-Team Collaboration 

  • Serve as a liaison between partner companies and Adventure Specialists, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient booking processes. 
  • Communicate closely with marketing, concierge, air, and operations teams to ensure guest satisfaction and service excellence. 
  • Assist with calls routed from the Front Desk, ensuring efficient handling and professional service. 

Professionalism & Growth 

  • Maintain full-time availability (8 am–5 pm MT, Monday–Friday), with flexibility for occasional extended hours. 
  • Participate in team projects and training to deepen knowledge of destinations and strengthen team performance. 
  • Perform organizational and administrative duties that enhance team efficiency. 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in travel, communications, hospitality, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in customer service, sales support, or the travel industry. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or database management tools (CRM software experience preferred). 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining accountability and independence. 
  • Passion for nature, wildlife, conservation, and adventure travel. 

 

COMPENSATION

Compensation commensurate with experience. Starting salary Range: $54,000-$56,500 plus annual bonus. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  

 

The benefits of this position include generous paid time off, paid holidays, annual opportunities for paid travel on Nat Hab’s worldwide nature adventures, free stays at the company’s leased houses in the Colorado mountains and in Louisville (near the office), significant discounts on travel experiences with partner companies, and “pro deal” discounts on outdoor clothing/gear. The Louisville, Colorado office near Boulder is surrounded by paved paths and natural trails with panoramic views of the foothills and Rocky Mountains. The office campus features an on-site fitness facility and café serving daily breakfast and lunch, including a full-service espresso bar with locally roasted coffee. Eligibility for medical insurance, participation in 401(k) with company match, parental leave and sabbatical are available after a pre-determined period.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Attendance in the office is required at least two days per week. This position may also require 1-2 weeks of travel annually to meet the needs of the role. 

This location and travel policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion. 

 

WORKING HOURS 

Our standard company hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MT. On Saturdays, we operate from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with coverage provided by select members of our guest-facing teams. Additional hours may be required, as needed, to achieve your goals and support business needs.
