About Sumter LGC

Sumter Local Government Consulting (Sumter LGC) provides executive search, interim staffing,

embedded municipal services, and management consulting to local governments. We are based in

Alpharetta, Georgia, and team members work remotely across several states.


The Role

We are a fast-paced, growing small business looking for a detail-driven independent contractor who

likes getting things done. You will support our search, consulting, and back-office operations, working

about 20 hours a week on a flexible daytime and evening schedule. You will also support business

development, marketing, and conferences/client focused events. This role suits someone who likes

variety, a fast-paced, collaborative, kind work environment, and juggling competing priorities.


Responsibilities

Recruiting Coordination (backup and cross-training)

• Send candidate acknowledgments and status updates

• Schedule candidate interviews, client meetings, and finalist interview days across multiple time zones

• Book travel and lodging, and coordinate candidate travel reimbursements

• Utilize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and enter search milestones in our Customer Relationship Management Database (CRM)

• Draft, post, and update job postings


Administrative support

• Assemble proposals, recruitment brochures, and reference packets from our templates

• Assist with managing expenses and billing processes

• Manage shared calendars, files, and other back-office functions


Marketing and Social Media

• Post and schedule approved LinkedIn and social media content

• Build and send email campaigns in Mailchimp from an approved calendar

• Announce new searches, placements, and team news


Database Management

• Enter and update contacts, candidates, and opportunities in our CRM

• Help manage both our applicant tracking and business development systems


Event and Conference Planning

• Handle registrations, booth materials, shipping, and travel for conferences and trade shows

• Help plan client events, webinars, and team meetings


Qualifications


Required

• Skills in executive or administrative support, or operations

• Excellent written communication and professional phone and email manner

• Strong organization; comfortable managing many deadlines at once

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and ability to quickly learn how to use our CRM and applicanttracking systems

• Ability to handle confidential candidate and client information with discretion

• Reliable high-speed internet and access to a quiet workspace


Preferred

• Experience in supporting a small business, sales, or business development operations

• Familiarity with Capsule CRM, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, Zoom, and Microsoft 365

• Event or conference planning experience


Terms

Status Independent contractor (1099); no benefits

Rate $25/hour

Hours About 20 per week, flexible;

Availability Focused client and collaborative work during

business hours; other tasks can be done in the

evenings/weekends

Location Remote, U.S.; Eastern or Central time zone
