Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant Intern to provide clerical and administrative support the Water Business Lines in Denver, Colorado

This position is expected to begin in July 2025.

Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. Interns work with cutting-edge technology, learn industry best practices, and collaborate with experienced professionals in a globally recognized firm. The program fosters both technical and professional skill development while providing networking opportunities that can enhance future career prospects. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • The position will involve coordinating and supporting meetings and conferences, coordinating and tracking AECOM policy compliance, and providing general administrative support to water business line staff.
  • Will work under general supervision of department and division managers.
  • Assists project and people managers on administrative tasks for various projects and overhead items.
  • Coordinates and tracks program compliance for various AECOM policies.
  • Prepares or proofs correspondence, forms, spreadsheets, or documents.
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings and prepare agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote), and other programs to accomplish work.
  • Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for project teams and managers.
  • Create and submit expense reports for Water Business Unit staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have completed one year of study.
  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with professional office environment, practices, and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote), and other programs to accomplish work.
  • Should have a good command of their communication skills, strong organizational skills, and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility
  • Resourceful, highly organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Effective time-management and interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Work in the office 3-5 days per week.
