Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our receivables process, ensuring a timely and accurate collection of outstanding invoices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for accurately recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable process from invoicing to collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and verify invoices for proper coding and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances, payment terms, and inquiries to facilitate prompt payment.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and customer service, to address billing discrepancies and resolve customer issues.
- Prepare aging reports and analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends and potential risks.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate and timely information related to accounts receivable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar role.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Proficiency in general ledger coding and understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our Montoursville, PA office
